An open-ended brief from the client allowed us to use forward-thinking creative solutions to improve their 6th form centre.
The boy's WC was transformed into a unisex WC and the girl's WC, into a study room. The ceilings of the study room were painted using dark anthracite. With the addition of hanging fabric acoustic panels, this helped to create a more cosy, sound-absorbing study room by visually lowering the ceiling height. For the unisex restroom, monochrome colours such as white and anthracite were broken up with the use of bright accent colours to bring some contrast.
